The One Club for Creativity asked for campaigns that identified an obstacle that kept young people from showing up to vote. Our mission? Speak directly to the excuses and doubts that keep Gen Z and Millennials from voting.
Our insight? Often the reaction to politics from young people is a shrug. They want things to change, but they don’t feel like they can have an impact — so they throw up their hands in frustration. We needed to make them see the power those hands could have if put to a different purpose.
Politics can be exasperating.
So much so that it makes you want to throw up your hands and be done with it.
But the same hands that surrender can also show the world what you believe in. And shape a future to match.
So instead of throwing up both hands, just raise one.
To vote. To take action. To say, “Count me in.”
Don’t let exasperation turn into resignation.
